Some relief for folks living near rivers and streams: maybe the floodwaters are coming down.

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) says the Flood Warning issued earlier this month has now been downgraded to a High Water Safety Bulletin.

The Authority says the flows in the Lower Nottawasaga River downstream of the Minesing Wetland have started to recede and are now on a steady decline. However, the flows are expected to remain higher than normal for the next several days.

The NVCA will continue to monitor river and stream conditions and will issue any related flood messages as conditions warrant. The bulletin will remain in effect until Saturday.
