Forcing the Tories to think greener

To be fair, although it took pressure, the Harper Conservatives appear to have reversed their apathy to climate change and are prepared to act.

We'll see, but given the Prime minister's past statements you wonder how sincere their commitment really is and how far they're prepared to go.

However, government--any government--can only do so much, they can't legislate lifestyle changes.

Change will come, and the public will play a key role, but at a price.

How much will we sacrifice and how big a change in our standard of living will we tolerate to do our part?

Consider this. Sit outside any drive-thru and watch the backlog of cars-- vehicles idling--waiting to get their order.

Multiply that by all the drive-thrus across Canada.

One small but significant example. How strong is our commitment: would you change, or just expect the other guy to do it?
