MIDLAND – The Town of Midland will be full of frosty fun this weekend as it celebrates the 25th annual Winterfest.
The three-day event will start Friday, but officially kicks off Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Midland Curling Club.
The day will continue with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, such as wall climbing, a model railroad display, and a meet and greet with Spider-Man, all at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.
Saturday will also include an array of outdoor family fun at Little Lake Park, noted Nicole Hutton, Midland’s deputy director of parks and recreation. This will include dogsled rides, a one-man circus, the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, snowshoeing and mini golf … to name just a few.
Those looking to stay warm can watch the Seniors Got Talent contest at the Askennonia Senior Centre, or entertainment by Cindy Thompson in the Community Hall.
“People should come out and enjoy the beautiful winter weather and all the fun activities the Winterfest committee has been working hard at putting on for the community,” said Hutton.
