I want to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude for the support The Mirror has provided to the Blankets for Canada Society’s Midland chapter in letting the community know about our organization and our contributions to date.
The local newspaper provides a much-needed forum for small, grassroots organizations to let other like-minded good Samaritans know how they can get involved.
As well, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our community partners for providing our organization with a clean and safe drop-off spot for knit and crocheted squares, yarn, etc. Without your help, we would not continue to receive the numerous donations that we do. A heartfelt thank-you to you anonymous donors of yarn, squares, hooks and needles.
Finally, to the members of the Midland chapter, thank you for your continued support of an organization that you believe in. Through your combined efforts, we continue to keep the community warm one blanket at a time.
Without you we would not have been able to donate 33 blankets to the community by the end of 2009.
