MIDLAND – Justice Robert Main presides over the swearing in of Midland Police Service Chief Michael Osborne on Jan. 27. Osborne replaced former chief Paul Hamelin last August on an interim basis, was approved for the top position by the police services board in October, and officially began his new job as Midland’s 13th chief of police on Jan. 1. Also during last week’s ceremony at town hall, Insp. Ron Wheeldon, inset, recited an oath marking his recent promotion from the rank of sergeant.
