Home sick with a rampant cold, I found the ray of hope I was searching for at the Midland hospital after two-and-a-half weeks of talking to nurses on Telehealth and not being able to get into my local doctor or walk-in clinic.
The ER was packed full of people, many wearing protective masks. The two hours I spent there were spent feeling like I was being taken care of by a hard-working, organized, dedicated team of health-care professionals.
Patient after patient they took temperatures, filled in forms, and advised healthy courses of action. Thank you to the ER staff for their full-speed-ahead effort.
There are so many people to care for in this extraordinary fall flu season. I left feeling confident and cared for by everyone involved.
