My comment to them was: “Well, come on out and join us.”
This is your water that these great ladies are protecting. Sitting at home on your duff won’t help the cause.
Water in Penetang, Midland and surrounding areas all comes from the ground. It’s not delivered by the water fairy.
When drained from the ground and wasted or polluted, it is finished. Done. Then what will you do?
Now is the time to stand up. Do something, say something, place a phone call or write a letter. Go to the native camp across the road from Site 41. Talk to the women and find out what you can do to keep our water clean.
A get-together (is held) every Saturday at 6 p.m. Bring your favourite dish and lawn chair. After supper, you will hear what is happening to help stop Site 41. You need to be there as much as you need pure water.
