Candiss Everingham gets a little revenge on her brother, Coltin, while jousting at Summerfest 2008 last Saturday.

A new twist brought even more lively entertainment to Innisfil’s Summerfest this year.

The Alcona Business Association sponsored Innisfil’s Got Talent, which brought out plenty of acts.

The winners in the first talent show of its kind were:
Clare Mohoney, Kendra Stewart and Delaney Hazzelwood with their Irish dance in the 10 and under category; Guitarist Spencer Grabinski in the 11 to 15 category;  Singer and stage perfomer Kristen Alary took top spot in the 16 to 25 year old category;
Jeffrey King, a singer and guitarist, was first in the 26 to 39 year old category; Singer Dianne Stricker was first in the 40 to 64 year old category; The Sandy Cove Cloggers  (Tonya Isard, Carol Bramwell, Joyce Feren, Bell Doolan, Audrey Dison, Betty Priddle, Marion Brough and Alie Elderman) won the 65 plus category.

Summerfest helps raise money for the Innisfil Community Event Corporation, which give funds to community projects such as the new recreation complex.
