Garden tour focuses on sites around dump

Midland Mayor Jim Downer and seven-year-old Tyler Lenord check out one of the gardens that will be part of next month’s Around Site 41 Garden Tour, scheduled to take place July 20 from noon to 6 p.m.

The Around Site 41 Garden Tour is scheduled to take place July 20 from noon to 6 p.m.

The tour features gardeners ranging in age from seven to 81, and the goal is to raise money to fight against the controversial dump Site 41.

The dump would be located just behind some of the homes featured in this tour.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Wye Not Flowers in Elmvale, Jug City in Wyevale, Huronia Nurseries, (Baseline Road), Covered Bridge Boarding Kennels, The Ivy Basket in Midland and The Flower Place at Bayfield Mall.
