The Mirror wants to know just how deep your red and white passion goes.

Starting today, The Mirror will be accepting entries for its first Canada Day contest.

In a letter or photo, tell us what being Canadian means to you and you could win some great prizes.

There are two age categories – Under 18 and 18 and Over.

First prize in the Under 18 category is dinner for four at McDonalds. The second-place winner will receive a $20 gift certificate for Papas Pizza. In the 18 and Over category, the first-place winner will receive two rounds of golf at Brooklea Golf and Country Club, and a $50 gift certificate for Kelsey’s, while the lucky second-place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate for Kelsey’s.

“We hope everyone has a great time putting their entries together,” says Frances Ross, advertising manager for The Mirror.

“We’re looking forward to see what people come up with. We hope this will get people in the mood to celebrate Canada Day by enjoying the wonderful local events taking place.”

The deadline for entries is Friday, June 20, and the winners will be announced in the Friday, June 27 edition of The Mirror.

Please send all entries to The Mirror at 488 Dominion Avenue, L4R 1P6. You can also send entries by e-mail to editor Lori Martin at mirror@simcoe.com.
