A Port McNicoll man was in bail court in Barrie Thursday, charged with one count of possession of child pornography.

OPP Child Sexual Exploitation officers teamed up with their colleagues in the Southern Georgian Bay crime unit in executing a search warrant at a Port McNicoll house in February.

They discovered two computers, CDs and about 1,000 VHS tapes containing images of children being sexually abused.

Ronald Sauve, 70, was arrested Wednesday and charged.

Police are urging anyone with information pertaining to the ongoing investigation to contact the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Section at 416-235-4552 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
