A firefighters demonstration on Thursday was part of the Career Opportunities for Youth 2008 put on by North Simcoe Community Futures Development Corporation.

Students at the Midland fire hall had the chance to see the simulation of actual firefighting tasks and professional testing requirements. The mostly Grade 10 students had the opportunity to visit 12 different venues, which showcased different career opportunities during this annual event for the area’s five high schools.
