8:07 p.m. March 7 - Things are looking a little hairy and a lot exciting for the Jr. C Alliston Hornets in game one of a best of seven championship series against the Penetang Kings.

The Hornets are down 2-1 after the first period of play.

Penetang, last year’s league champs, came out skating hard and drew first blood, before the Hornets’ Robbie Rutledge evened things up. But before the period ended the Kings scored again to take the lead heading into the second frame.

The Zamboni is leaving the ice in front of a packed house at the New Tec Rec Centre right now. More to come at the bottom of the second…
