The Fergus Devils are clinging to life after forcing a sixth game against the Penetang Kings in a series to determine who plays the Alliston Hornets in the Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Jr. C. hockey championships.

The Kings went into the weekend with a 2-1 lead in the series. The Kings crushed Fergus 9-3 Friday night, and were poised to take the series in a home game Sunday. With their backs against the wall, the Fergus Devils were able to win 4-3 thanks to a 30-save performance by goalie Gary Walser.

The Kings have dominated the scoreboard in the series, outscoring the Devils 24-13. Fergus has squeaked out two one-goals wins at home - one in overtime - to keep them in the series.

Game six is in Fergus Tuesday night, with game seven in Penetang the following night, if necessary.
